Solve the Riddle!
Bendel Tank & Heat Exchanger uses a great deal of science, physics, software and mathematics to design and manufacture our pressure vessels. Pressure vessels come in many sizes, thicknesses and weights to operate for many liquid and gas operations.
Recently, a client asked us “what is the most common pressure vessel that is manufactured in the world?” Do you know the answer?
We put that question to our draftsmen and engineers here at Bendel and they came up with the answer of all answers: It's the common fire extinguisher!
IIf you think about it, the fire extinguisher is nothing more than a very simple pressure vessel from which a material or agent is expelled to put out a fire. The agent acts upon the chemistry of the fire by removing one or more of the three elements necessary to maintain fire—commonly referred to as the fire triangle. The three sides of the fire triangle are fuel, heat, and oxygen.
Now, there are some very small fire extinguishers, but they all still operate from the same pressure vessel theory!
So the next time somebody asks you what is the world’s most common pressure vessel manufactured, you can tell them that you know!
Bendel does not manufacture fire extinguishers, but we do design and manufacture a complete line of asme pressure vessels, reactors and heat exchangers in strict accordance with ASME (Section VIII, Division I).
The ASME code may encompass the primary vessel only or the entire assembly, which may also include heating/cooling jackets, internal coils or other pressure retaining components.
Our ASME pressure vessels can be fabricated from Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel or Nickel Alloy materials.
